CHERIMOYA

The Cherimoya is native to South America and is a shrub that is easily pruned to a tree that grows to about 20 feet. There are many varieties and some are deciduous. Cherimoyas produce a custard-like fruit that many people relish. The Cherimoya fruit is the size of a grapefruit and has been described as a taste combination of banana, papaya, peach and strawberry. It ripens from October to May.
