Dragon Fruit is a cactus that originated in Central and South America and has been cultivated all over Asia. The plant needs to grow where it can climb and produces fruit that can be as large as two pounds or more. It is almost always eaten raw and has a similar texture and taste to Kiwi Fruit. It is slightly sweet and somewhat reminicent of watermelon. The purple variety is colored so brightly that you might think it is neon!
