called the Brazillian Grape Tree the Jaboticaba is a slow growing
tree that prefers moist, acidic soil. It produces a purplish-black
fruit that can be eaten raw or made into jelly or jam. Unlike grapes,
Jaboticaba fruit tend to ferment rather soon after harvesting so
should be eaten or made into jam within 4 to 5 days.
