Mangoes are indigenous to India and are now grown worldwide in climates where the temperatures do not drop below 24 degrees for any length of time. Mango trees can grow as large as 130 feet, but can be pruned and maintained to reasonable harvesting height. The fruit is sweet and tastes unlike any other fruit. It can be eaten fresh or in any number of ways. Some varieties produce fruit that is more fibrous than others so always check before choosing a tree.
