The Otaheite Gooseberry can grow to about 20 feet tall and produces fruit in clusters. It is native to Madagascar and is now grown in most sub-tropical regions. The fruit is pale yellow, waxy, and juicy. It is also very sour so it is mostly eaten after cooking with sugar.
