Another name for the Plumeria plant is Frangipani and it is grown in warm climates worldwide for its beautiful flowers and its fragrance. That fragrance is strongest at night to lure a moth to it to pollinate the plant. In the Pacific Islands Plumeria flowers are used to make leis.
