Mature trees can reach 80 feet tall. They are frost sensative and must be planted accordingly.

The fruit measure 3 - 5 inches in diameter. The skin is inedible skin that turns from olive to a deep yellow-green when ripe. The pulp turns from white when unripe to a brown color similar to pudding when ripe with a papaya-like texture. This Sapote, though it shares the name, is not related to the Mamey Sapote or the White Sapote.
